Rotterdam Chamber Players CD is finally AVAILABLE!

Horn player, Martin van de Merwe, and the Rotterdam Chamber Players have recently released their magnificent CD recording of some of my key chamber works. Aficionados of my music may not be terribly familiar with the many works I have written which feature strings and winds. After all, it has been primarily the brass world which has embraced and supported my compositions. Upon the release of this particular CD, which includes "Quarter-After-Four" for horn, violin and piano, "Berceuse for The Mary Rose for woodwind quintet, Sonata for horn and string quartet, and "Rhapsody" for nine winds and strings, most of the comments I have received have been in reference to this interesting point. I adore writing for winds and strings and would like to do more of it.

Perhaps this brilliant rendition of these works recorded on this CD will help to capture the ears of string and wind players and draw attention to my work. I hope so!

I have written several blogs in reference to this project in Rotterdam, the principal organization of which was done by Mr. Maarten Hudig and his compatriots at the Foundation Aerarium Sanctius. I invite you to read (or re-read) them (Ups and Downs in the Low Countries and Rotterdam Chamber Players Record Works by Turner).

The CD is beautifully recorded and crafted in every way. It is available on the MSR Classics label (MS 1186). You can order it on Amazon.com or via the MSR Classics website.
